The Tademait Plateau (French: Plateau du Tademaït , "Garden of Satan") is a plateau (terrain form, T-hypsographic) in the province of In Salah , Algeria .

The plateau is at an average height of 620 m above sea level. The classic Sahara route "N 1" leads via Tamanrasset into Niger (as part of the Algiers-Lagos Highway ). The plateau is bordered in the south by the town of In Salah and in the north by the now abandoned fort of the Foreign Legion Fort Miribel. Below the plateau lies the city of El Menéa. The Tademait plateau is crossed by a large wadi in a northeast direction. Along the slope through the plateau is an artesian well , the hot water, Hassi Morocet. There are several other wells from which the nomads draw their water.

The Tademait Plateau is a desolate, unpredictable stretch of desert, which appears "black" due to the metal oxides deposited in stones, gravel and sand and has almost no vegetation. The plateau measures around 10,000 km². Mountains of witnesses flank the plateau. Shortly before In Salah, the dark “green” of the palm groves becomes visible. In front of the In Salah airfield, an east turnoff leads to the Foggâret ez Zoûa oasis. The surrounding gardens are irrigated by Foggaras . There are petrified trees in the wider area .
