Emanuel Tadeu Bezerra Schmidt (born July 18, 1974 in Natal ) is a Brazilian journalist and television presenter.

Life

Schmidt began his professional career in 1997 at the television station TV Globo . In 2000 he switched to the sports reporting team at TV Globo in Rio de Janeiro and reported on numerous major events in the following years, such as the Formula 1 races and the 2006 World Cup . At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he was one of the anchors of the broadcasts for Brazilian television.

In addition, in 2005 he took over the moderation of the sports block in the morning program Bom Dia Brasil and developed a new way of presenting the goals of the game day and the sports news. In 2007 he was invited to develop a new format for the traditional quadro dos gols of the Fantástico program, of which he has been the presenter ever since. After the Beijing Olympic Games, Schmidt left Bom Dia Brasil to devote himself entirely to the Fantástico program .

His brother is the former basketball player Oscar Schmidt .
