Tadeusz Rybczynski

Tadeusz Mieczyslaw Rybczynski (* 1923 ; † 1998 ) was a Polish-English economist .

Life

Rybczynski studied at the London School of Economics ; did his Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Science there . In 1955 he developed the Rybczynski theorem named after him . He later worked as a consultant for the US investment bank Lazard . He was also visiting professor at City University London , a member of the Royal Economic Society and Vice-President of the British Association for the Advancement of Science .

In 1983 he received the Bernhard Harms Medal from the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .
