Tadpatri is a city in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh . Tadipatri lies on the south bank of the Pennar .
The city is part of the Anantapur district . Tadpatri has the status of a municipality . The city is divided into 32 wards (constituencies).
Demographics
The city's population is 108,171 according to the 2011 census. Tadpatri has a gender ratio of 1003 women per 1000 men and thus a rare surplus of women for India. The literacy rate was 71.4% in 2011. Almost 72% of the population are Hindus , approx. 27% are Muslim and less than 1% belong to another or no religion. Children under 6 years of age are 11.0% of the population.
