Taetre is a Swedish melodic death and thrash metal band from Gothenburg that was formed in 1993.

history

The band was formed in 1993. After two demos were released in the following years, the debut album The Art was released in 1997 . Due to the success of the debut album, the band began work on the second album immediately after the release, so that less than a year later it was released under the name Out of Emotional Disorder . After the release, bassist Conny Vandling left the band and was replaced by Daniel Kvist. In addition, the band dissolved their contract with Diehard Records and signed with Mighty Music . In early 2002, the band recorded their third album Divine Misanthrpic Madness . Shortly before, Danyael Nilsson had left the band and was replaced by guitarist Maggot. The album was released in October 2002. Towards the end of April 2003, the band's first European tour followed with Defleshed and Diabolical . Towards the end of the summer of 2003, the band recorded a cover version of the song At the Gates by the band of the same name for an At-the-Gates tribute album. Then guitarist Nilsson came back to the band and in summer 2004 the band began recording their fourth album Psychopath ; this has not yet appeared because singer Lindblood is currently in a psychiatric clinic after attempting suicide .

style

The band plays a mixture of melodic death metal and thrash metal, with the music being kept very variable in speed.
