Human Rights Day

The Human Rights Day ( English Human Rights Day ) is celebrated on December 10 and is the memorial to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights , which on 10 December 1948 by the UN General Assembly was adopted.

Human rights organizations such as Amnesty International use this day every year to take a critical look at the human rights situation around the world and to point out current hot spots.

The European Parliament will also award the Sakharov Prize on this day . The organization also awards Reporters Without Borders their annual human rights award .
