Days Pettersen
Days Pettersen (born July 25, 1972 in Moss ) is a Norwegian politician of the conservative party Høyre . From 2011 to 2017 he was the mayor of his home municipality, since 2017 he has been a member of parliament in Storting .
Life
Pettersen completed his training as a chef in 1992. He then worked for the Norwegian Army from 1993 to 2011 . From 1994 to 1995 he attended the naval supervisor's school, from 1999 he worked there as an officer and instructor. From 2003 to 2011 he was the deputy director and later head of Vernepliktsrådet , the highest representative of the conscripts.
From 1991 to 1995 and again from 2003 to 2017 he was a member of the Moss city council . From 2011 he was the mayor of the municipality. From 2008 to 2016 he was also the chairman of the Høyre in what was then the province of Østfold .
Pettersen entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2017 general election . He had previously stood in four storting elections, but without receiving a mandate. In parliament he represents the constituency of Østfold and is a member of the family and culture committee.
