A day construction site (in technical terms, a job of shorter duration ) is a job on a street that is usually set up, operated and cleared again in daylight and only exists for a limited number of hours. The protection is therefore carried out with little barriers and signage. It is also a daytime construction site if the construction work lasts for several days, but the job site is cleared every evening. If the job lasts longer than a calendar day, it is a permanent construction site , technically a job of longer duration .

Jobs of shorter duration should not the peak time in rush hour run, but are made in the off-peak time. Likewise, operation during the dark is only to be restricted to emergency measures. Depending on the size and location of the work site, protection is provided with traffic cones and a mobile warning board and, if necessary, with advance warning devices .

Distinction

Day construction sites can be distinguished as follows:

  • Short-term stationary workplaces, for example maintenance work on the road or street equipment
  • Movable workplaces, so-called mobile construction sites , for example cleaning, green maintenance or marking work
  • Surveying work in the street space
