The Taiwan dog is one of the FCI recognized breed of Taiwan ( no. 348, group 5, section 7 ).
Origin and history
A study of dogs living in Taiwan in 1980 showed that there was still a dog breed unknown to science on the island, which was subsequently assigned to the pariah dogs . The dog has been at home here since ancient times and served the indigenous population as a hunting dog. The breed was provisionally recognized by the FCI in 2004 and recognized in 2015.

The Taiwan dog is a typical representative of the pariah dogs, with a triangular head, medium-sized and sickle-shaped tail. With a weight of up to 16 kg, he should reach a height of no more than 53 cm.
