Taiyaki

Taiyaki ( Japanese 鯛 焼 き , " sea ​​bream pastry") is a Japanese pastry in the shape of a fish that is baked on a roasting plate with fish shapes. Traditionally it is filled with anko , a sweet paste made from red beans, but nowadays vanilla cream (custard cream) is also very popular as a filling. There are other fillings, such as matcha cream (cream with green tea), chocolate cream and others.

Similar sweets are Oyaki and Imagawayaki .
