Takami Ōminami

Takami Ōminami ( Japanese 大 南 敬 美 , Ōminami Takami ; born November 15, 1975 in Mikata, now Wakasa ) is a Japanese long-distance runner who specializes in marathons .

In 2000 she was third in the Nagoya Marathon and in 2001 second. In 2002 she won the Rotterdam Marathon in her personal best of 2:23:43.

With a victory at the Nagoya Marathon the following year, she qualified for the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Paris in 2003 , but only finished 27th there.

The 2007 season started for her with a third place in Nagoya.

Her twin sister is Hiromi Ōminami , who with a marathon best time of 2:23:26 is also one of the 50 fastest women in the world.
