Takashi Sakurai ( Japanese 桜 井 孝 司 , Sakurai Takashi ; born May 4, 1977 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Sakurai learned to play soccer on the school team at Shizuoka Gakuen High School . He signed his first contract with the Yokohama Wings in 1996 . The club played in the highest / second highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1997 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . In 1998 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . In 1999 he moved to the second division Consadole Sapporo . In 2000 he became champions of the J2 League with the club . At the end of 2000 he ended his career as a soccer player.
