Takatsukasa Hiromichi

Takatsukasa Hiromichi ( Japanese. 鷹 司 煕 通 ; * April 2, 1855 in Kyōto ; † May 17, 1918 ) was a scion of the noble Takatsukasa family , who, descended from Konoe Iezane , provided several regents up to the Meiji Restoration .

He was the adopted eleventh son of Takatsukasa Masamichi . His biological father was Kujō Hisatada ( 九 条 尚 忠 ).

Hiromichi embarked on a military career after he was first given to the Sanhō-in as a child and was destined for a spiritual career. In 1872 he was sent to Germany for military training. On his return he went to the Koyama Military School, where he received his lieutenant license in 1879. The good rider later rose to major general and court marshal of Taishō -Tennō.

He was married to Yasuko, daughter of Tokusama Iesato. Her sons were Nobusuke ( 信 輔 ; 1890–1959), Nobuhiro ( 信 熙 ; 1892–1981), Nobutaka ( 信 敬 ) and Nobuatsu ( 信 淳 ; 1893–1941), who was adopted by the princely Matsuzono family. He also had a daughter Fusako ( 房子 , 1887-1918), another he adopted from Matsuzono Naoyoshi .
