Takatsukasa Sukehira

Takatsukasa Sukehira ( Japanese 鷹 司 輔 平 ; * 1738 ; † February 8, 1813 ( Japanese calendar Bunka 10/1/8)) was a scion of the noble family Takatsukasa , originally descended from Konoe Iezane , which was revived by Takatsukasa Nobufusa the go-sekke was considered worthy enough to provide rulers for Japanese rulers.

Sukehira's biological father was the Kan'in-no-miya Naohito-shinnō, whose youngest son he was. After he was first adopted by Ichijō Kaneka , he was accepted by Mototeru as the family owner.

At court he was first educator of the Crown Prince, from 1756 Naidaijin , 1759 and again 1778 Udaijin ("Chancellor on the right"), 1787-91 Regent for Kōkaku and Sadaijin ("Chancellor on the left") in the following first rank. He took the tonsure in 1791.

Sukehira had 11 children, 10 of whom survived. Two of his daughters became ladies-in-waiting. Four of his sons held high positions in Buddhist temples: Ryūhan ( 隆範 ; 1773–1829) held the bettō office in Kōfuku-ji , Kakuson ( 覚 尊 ; 1784–1832) the same in Tōdai-ji , Kōen (1773–1848) became - as well as Enshō ( 圓 祥 ; 1788-1837) - daissoshō hōin . The youngest son was adopted by the Tokuda family (1790-1858; 徳 大寺 実 堅 ). One daughter was married to Date Narimura , the eighth daimyo of the Mutsu - Sendai-han .
