Takeo Sugawara
Takeo Sugawara ( Japanese 菅原 武 男 , Sugawara Takeo; born May 23, 1938 in Akita Prefecture ) is a former Japanese hammer thrower .
At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he was eliminated from the qualification.
In 1962 he won silver at the Asian Games in Jakarta , in 1964 he came 13th at the Olympic Games in Tokyo , and in 1966 he won the Asian Games in Bangkok .
At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he was fourth with his personal best of 69.78 m. In 1972 he finished 20th at the Olympic Games in Munich .
He was five times Japanese champion (1964, 1966–1968, 1971) and once English champion (1963).
