Talakite is a small island in the Tongatapu archipelago in the center of Tongatapu in the Pacific . Politically, it belongs to the Kingdom of Tonga .

The Motu is located in the central lagoon of the main island Tongatapu, together with Mataʻaho in the extension of Nukunukumotu in the north.
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Tongatapu group, Talakite is occasionally hit by cyclones .
