geography
The dam is located on the southern slope of the Drahaner Bergland on the lower reaches of the Malá Haná ( Little Hanna ) just before its confluence with the Haná . Rychtářov , Pařezovice , Lhota, Opatovice, Drnovice , Ježkovice and Ruprechtov are located around the reservoir .
history
The drinking water dam was built in the 1960s and completed in 1972. The uninhabited valleys of the Malá Haná and their tributaries Pařezovický potok and Dlouhý žleb were flooded by the reservoir. There are mussel and crab populations in the reservoir.
