The Sedlice dam ( Vodní nádrž Sedlice in Czech ) is a process water dam in the Czech Republic .
geography
The dam is located seven kilometers southwest of Humpolec near Sedlice and dams the Hejlovka and Jankovský potok . Their storage space includes the narrow valley of the Želivka , which is created one kilometer southwest of the dam in the reservoir by the confluence of the Hejlovka and Jankovský potok.
history
The dam was built between 1921 and 1927 to supply the city of Humpolec with electricity. The annual mean flow rate at the dam is 2.57 m³ / s. In addition, the reservoir is used for recreational purposes.
