Sedlice (German Sedlitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southwest of Humpolec and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Sedlice is located in the Želivská pahorkatina, a part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands , in a meander of the Želivka . To the southeast of the village lies the Sedlice dam , in which the Hejlovka and the Jankovský potok merge to form the Želivka. To the north, the Želivka is dammed in the Vřesník dam. To the east is the Trnávka dam . The Strážník (551 m) rises to the southeast.
Neighboring towns are Vřesník and Petrovice in the north, Močidla and Hněvkovice in the north-east, Kordovsko, Vystrkov and Smrdov in the east, Kletečná, Šimonice and Milotice in the south-east, Vadčice and Kojčice in the south, Svépravice , Popelištná and Besten, Besten, and Brtná in the south Želiv in the northwest.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1226.
After the replacement of patrimonial Sedlice formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Želiv in the district administration Německý Brod . In 1907 Sedlice became independent and since 1910 the municipality belonged to Okres Humpolec. Between 1921 and 1927 the Sedlice dam was built at the confluence of Hejlovka and Jankovský potok. Below this, another smaller dam was built in the years 1925 to 1928 with the Vřesník dam. Sedlice has belonged to Okres Pelhřimov since 1961 . Between 1977 and 1981, the Trnávka dam, the third dam in the vicinity of the village, was built. All reservoirs are also used for swimming purposes. Sedlice is now a resort. There are 13 holiday homes and 213 holiday cabins on the communal corridors.
