history
The first mention of the existing from 16 Huben village Sampschin occurred before 1373 in Urbar Ulrich I. von Rosenberg . However, the village did not belong to the possessions of the Lords of Rosenberg , but to the Collegiate Monastery of All Saints at Prague Castle and was administered by Ulrich I for his brother, Provost Peter II . In 1437 Sampschin was assigned to the Prague collegiate chapter . In 1530 Ferdinand I sold the village to Wenzel Ritter Robenhaupt von Sucha ( Robmhap ze Suché ) on Pacov . Sampschin was parish after Pacov. In the Patzau church tithe register of 1636, eleven properties are recorded for Sampschin. The Berní rula from 1654 shows ten farms for the village, one of which was ruined. In addition, four more properties were in desolation. Later Samšín belonged to the Carmelite Order and became part of the religious fund in the course of the Josephine reforms .
After the abolition of patrimonial Samšín formed from 1850 a district of the community Roučkovice in the district administration Pelhřimov . In 1862 there were 287 Czech residents in the village's 34 houses. In 1887 the village of Samšín was established. In 1910, 246 people lived in the village, which had grown to 38 houses. Between 1948 and 1960 the community belonged to Okres Pacov and after its dissolution came back to Okres Pelhřimov . In 1976 Přáslavice was incorporated.
Samšín is laid out around a large round village square on which the chapel and the village pond are located.

The community Samšín consists of the districts Přáslavice ( Praslawitz ) and Samšín ( Samschin ), which also form cadastral districts.
