Rodinov (German Radinow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 17 kilometers northeast of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Rodinov is located on the slope of the 638 m high Hluboká hill above the Lhotský potok valley in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . In the west lies the Kamenice valley , through which the narrow-gauge railway line Jindřichův Hradec – Obrataň runs. The Rodinov railway station is located below the Rachačky settlement on the Kamenice.
Neighboring towns are Antonka in the north, Lhota-Vlasenice and Metánov in the northeast, Stranná in the east, Lítkovíce in the southeast, Štítné in the south, Žďár in the southwest, Vodná and Rachačky in the west and Kamenice nad Lipou in the northwest.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1549.
In 1906 the narrow-gauge railway from Obrataň to Jindřichův Hradec was inaugurated in the Kamnitz valley . There are larger agricultural facilities in the village.
