history

Chyschka was donated to Strahov Monastery in the middle of the 12th century by Vladislav II for the salvation of his relative Michael . It is believed that this occurred either between 1140 and 1148 or after his coronation in 1158. During the Hussite Wars , Emperor Sigismund withdrew the village from monastic property and sold it to the Karlstein burgrave Marsico Huca de Wokowa. His son Wenceslaus gave the village to Jan Malovec von Pacov in 1436 . 1530 sold Lords of Malovec rule Chischka Wenzel Rabenhaupt Sucha (Václav Robmhap ze Suché). His son of the same name left the rule including the villages Outěchovice , Bratřice and Vielanticum to Oldřich Španovský in 1550. He sold Vielanticum three years later to Václav Mahanec. In 1614 Oldřich Španovský d. J. the rule of the Strahov abbot Johann Lohelius . His successor Caspar von Questenberg sold the remote estate to Jan Vosrovský in 1620 with the consent of Archbishop Lohelius of Prague for 9,000 guilders. Its property was confiscated after the Battle of the White Mountain and Emperor Ferdinand II gave the Strahov Monastery back to Chischka. During the Thirty Years' War the rule was devastated and the parish in Chishka went extinct. The pastor of Hořepník took over the spiritual care from 1667 and from 1679 the Patzau pastor. Later the parish was renewed. In 1836 the parish Velká Chyška on Černý rybník founded the Jarolímka glassworks, for whose operation the wood of the parish forest was used. After 40 years of operation, it was shut down because the wood stocks had been used up.

After the replacement of patrimonial Velká Chýška formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Pelhřimov . In 1878 a wooden lookout tower was built on Stražiště, which was replaced by a higher one in the 1930s. In 1964 it was removed. Between 1949 and 1961 the community belonged to Okres Pacov and came back to Okres Pelhřimov after its dissolution . Between 1967 and 1990 Lesná was incorporated into Velká Chyška.
