The Stražiště is a 744  m high mountain in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers north of the city of Pacov .

The Stražiště are followed by other secondary peaks, west of the Hřeben ( 685  m ), northeast of the Holý vrch ( 703  m ) and north of the Kopec ( 658  m ). On the wooded peak of Stražiště there is a striking tower construction of the Stražiště television station (Stražiště-vysílač), which is not accessible.

Above Bratřice there is a healing spring discovered in 1673 by the Patzau barber Mikuláš on the slope . The Baroque pilgrimage chapel of St. John the Baptist was built near the summit in the 18th century. In 1878 a wooden observation tower was built on the summit, which was replaced by a higher one in the 1930s. The tower offered a wide view of the Pacov area to the Choustník , Křemešník , Humpolec , Ledeč nad Sázavou , Blaník and Miličín castles . In 1964 the observation tower was demolished.

In 1990 a radio and television transmission tower was built on Stražiště. The construction costs amounted to 27 million Kčs .
