Černov (German Tschernow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eleven kilometers southeast of Pelhřimov and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Černov is located on a plateau at the foot of Blažkův vrch (717 m) in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The Jelení hora (655 m) rises to the southeast. The village lies on the European main watershed between the Elbe and the Danube , which runs over the Prachatický les to the Křemešník . The Pláňavský potok rises to the west of Černov and the Kamenička rises to the north, and its waters lead southwards. Two kilometers to the west is the Nová Buková train station on the railway from Pelhřimov to Jindřichův Hradec .
Neighboring towns are Chrástov in the north, Těšenov in the east, Horní Cerekev in the southeast, Hříběcí in the south, Nová Buková in the west and Letny in the northwest.
