Ondřejov (German Andreasdorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southwest of Pelhřimov and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Ondřejov is located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands on the right slope of the Hejlovka valley . To the northwest lies the Hejlovký rybník reservoir, which is fed by the Hejlovka, and the Hejlov (609 m) rises to the north. The summit of the Zelený vrch hill in the southeast was largely dismantled by a quarry. State road 34 / E 551 runs through Ondřejov between Pelhřimov and Jindřichův Hradec .
Neighboring towns are Vlásenice in the north, Holákov, Myslotín and Vokov in the northeast, Rynárec in the east, Libkova Voda in the southeast, Ústrašín and Bor in the southwest, Lhotka, Myslov and Chmelná in the west and Částkovice in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of Ondřejov comes from 1406. At that time the place consisted of an estate that was subject to the Lhotka domain.
After 1900, granite mining began on the Zelený vrch. Ondřejov has been independent again since 1990, before the place was incorporated into Božejov . The largest company in the village is the quarry operated by the Czech subsidiary of STRABAG SE , Kamenolomy ČR sro, whose reserves will last until 2050.
