history

Kejžlice was first mentioned in a document in 1378 as Nová Ves . When the village was given to the Horní Lipnice Canons in 1397 , it was named Kožlice . In the course of the 15th and 16th centuries the current name Kejžlice was created .

The village belonged to the Chotěboř domain and was subject to the Lipnice Castle. Owners were the lords of Lípa and Luxemburg . After the Hussite Wars, the Trčka von Lípa acquired the property, followed by the Rašín von Chotěboř, Karl Joseph von Palm-Gundelfingen and the Trauttmansdorffer after the Thirty Years' War . From 1750 until the end of the patrimonial rule in 1850, it was part of the Lipnice nad Sázavou rule and then became an independent municipality, which with an interruption of 13 years until 1910 belonged to the Deutschbrod district , Caslauer Kreis. During this period Kejžlice was temporarily assigned to the Humpolec district in the Pardubice district between 1855 and 1868. From 1910 until its dissolution in 1960, the place was again part of the Humpolec district, which was now assigned to the Iglauer Kreis. During the territorial reform of 1960, the village came to Okres Pelhřimov .
