history
The first documentary mention of Čelistná as a possession of the Vilém of Rynářec comes from the year 1362. Burjan Trčka of Lípa received part of the village in 1467 from George of Podebrady and added it to his rule Pelhřimov. In 1468 he sold this part to Prokop Štítný von Štítné, who attached it to the Proseč-Obořiště estate. In 1535 Jan Leskovský von Leskovec acquired Proseč-Obořiště with all accessories from Václav Štítný. This made Čelistná subordinate to the Kamenice rule. In 1549 Čelistná came to Božejov and from 1579 it belonged to Horní Cerekev . In 1619 Jan Říčanský of Říčany became the owner of Čelistná and released the place from Horní Cerekev. He lost his property after the Battle of White Mountain and Čelistná was rejoined to Horní Cerekev, where it remained until the abolition of patrimonial rule.
In 1848 Čelistná became an independent municipality with the districts Vlásenice – Drbohlavy and Vratišov. Until 1880 the village was called Čelistné. After the name of the place was changed to Čelisná in 1900, the place was given its current name Čelistná in 1910. On July 1, 1975, Čelistná was incorporated into Libkova Voda and at the beginning of 1980 it was part of this municipality in Pelhřimov. On January 1, 1993, Čelistná became independent again.
