Obrataň (German Wobratein ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 19 kilometers east of Tábor and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Obrataň is located in the Kejtovský potok valley in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . State road 19 from Tábor to Pelhřimov and the railway connection between these cities run through the village . Obrataň is the terminus of the narrow-gauge railway Jindřichův Hradec - Obrataň .
Neighboring towns are Cetoraz in the north, Šimpach and Eš in the northeast, Dvořiště and Kámen in the east, Věžná and Brná in the southeast, Střítež in the south, Sudkův Důl and Bezděčín in the southwest, Pořín, Radostovice and Lejčkov in the west as well as Prasetín and Hrobskádka Zwádka in the north-west.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1365. In 1384 the Church of the Birth of Mary was founded, which received a gold-plated silver chalice with Czech garnets from the archbishop.
In 1906 the narrow-gauge railway to Jindřichův Hradec was inaugurated.
Community structure
The municipality of Obrataň consists of the districts Bezděčín ( Besdietschin ), Hrobská Zahrádka ( Sachradka b. Hrob ), Moudrov ( Maudrow , also Maudra ), Obrataň ( Wobratein ), Šimpach ( Schimpach , older also Schimbach ; after Antonín Profous originally Schönbach ), Sudkův Důl ( Sudekgruben ), Údolí ( Audol , also Thal Josaphat ) and the one-layer Dvořiště ( Höflein ). Basic settlement units are Bezděčín, Hrobská Zahrádka, Moudrov, Obrataň, Šimpach, Sudkův Důl and Vintířov.
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Bezděčín u Obrataně, Hrobská Zahrádka, Moudrov, Obrataň, Šimpach, Sudkův Důl and Vintířov.
