Putimov (German Putimow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located four kilometers southeast of Pelhřimov and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Putimov is located west of the Křemešník in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands on the Putimov hill of the same name (633 m).
Neighboring towns are Řemenov in the north, Plevnice, Horní Strměchy, Střítež pod Křemešníkem and Volšička in the north-east, Kamenicko and Proseč pod Křemešníkem in the east, Zálesí in the south-east, Nemojov in the south, Pavlov in the south-west and Skrýšovim in the north-west.
history
The first written mention of Putymov was in 1379. The settlement consisted of 13 Hufen land and 17 farms. Since the end of the 14th century Putimov belonged to the Řečice rule belonging to the Archdiocese of Prague .
The chapel on the village square was consecrated in 1830. After the abolition of patrimonial the municipality Putimov with the districts Nemojov and Skrýšov arose. The first school house was inaugurated in 1856. In 1869 Skrýšov became an independent municipality, and in 1955 Nemojov was spun off.
In 1931 the new school, which existed until the 1970s, started teaching. In 1976 Proseč pod Křemešníkem was added as a district. 1980 Putimov was affiliated to Pelhřimov . The film "Smuteční slavnost" based on the novel Eva Kantůrková was shot in Putimov in 1969 , which was only shown after the Velvet Revolution in 1989.
