history
The place probably originated in the second half of the 13th century in the Borek border forest on the border with Moravia. The first written mention of Stojatín took place in 1365. Later the village was called Stojetín and Stolčín . Until 1848 the place was subject to the Žirovnice rule.
After the abolition of patrimonial Stolčín formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Vlčetín in the district administration Pelhřimov . At that time, brickworks were operated due to the brick clay deposits in the vicinity of the village.
In 1887 the railway line from Veselí nad Lužnicí to Jihlava was built . A train station was built in Stolčín , which also served the two cities of Serowitz and Potschatek . From 1890 Stolčín was an independent municipality, which was assigned to the Kamenitz district in 1897 . Since 1921 the place has been officially called Stojčín . After the abolition of the Okres Kamenice nad Lipou, Stojčín was assigned to the Okres Pelhřimov in 1961 and at the same time incorporated into Počátky . With the electrification of the railway line, steam locomotive traffic ended in 1979. In the 1990s, the brickworks and the slab factory were stopped. The village of Stojčín has existed again since 1992.
