history
The first documentary mention of Bácovice as part of the Řečice rule belonging to the Archdiocese of Prague was made in 1379. When the rule was divided in 1545, Bácovice came to the Pelhřimov rule. Owners became the lords of Říčany. After the town of Pelhřimov was ransomed, the village was owned by the town from 1572 and in 1577 the town was hereditary. After the abolition of patrimonial Bácovice became an independent municipality, to which the districts Mašovice and Milotičky belonged until 1869. These also formed their own communities until Mašovice became a district of Milotičky in 1920.
In 1960, the Milotičky community was incorporated into Bácovice. 1975 Bácovice lost its independence and became the district of Červená Řečice. Since 1992 it has been a parish again.
