history
The place was first mentioned in a document as Bílé Martinice in 1362 as a property of the Martinice noble family. In 1440, Mikuláš Rubáš von Hrádek bought the village and held it for ten years. During his reign the place was called Rubášovy Martinice . Subsequently, Martinice belonged again to the Lords of Chřelovice , who were the previous owners until 1440.
At the beginning of the 17th century the village belonged to the Beřkovský von Šebířov . In 1618 the property of Mikuláš Beřkovský was confiscated and his wife got it back. The old road from Prague to Vienna ran through Skoranovice north of Martinice . This formerly more important place did not recover from the Swedish destruction in the Thirty Years War. The Beřkovský originally had their seat in Horka and their rule included the villages of Buřenice , Babice, Martinice and Hroznětice. Later Onšov was added, which became the center of the rule. In 1741 the Prague Archbishop Johann Moritz Gustav von Manderscheid-Blankenheim acquired Onšov and the associated villages.
