Mezná ( German Mesna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located nine kilometers south of Pelhřimov and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Mezná is located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands on a ridge between the Bělá and Hejlovka valleys , which rises southwest of the village in the V Mezence nature reserve . To the south rises the double peaks of Nádavek (700 m) and Bukový Kopec (702 m). The Podmetlička pond is located on the eastern edge of the village.
Neighboring towns are Čelistná and Vratišov in the north, Houserovka in the northeast, Benátky in the east, Janovice in the southeast, Veselá in the south, Častrov and Drážďany in the southwest and Vlásenice-Drbohlavy in the west.
history
The first written mention of Mezná comes from 1362, the district of Vratišov has existed since 1203.
