Ludger Rensing

Ludger Rensing (born October 23, 1932 in Münster ; † March 11, 2013 ) was a German zoologist and university professor . He was a professor of cell biology at the University of Bremen .

biography

After receiving his doctorate in 1961 , Ludger Rensing completed his habilitation in zoology at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and worked for several years in the United States ( Princeton University , Harvard University ). His areas of work were the regulation of stress genes and stress proteins as well as the molecular mechanisms of the " internal clock ".

Rensing is the author of numerous scientific publications and several books as well as editor of the journal Chronobiology International .
