Ian Mosley
Ian Mosley (born June 16, 1953 , Paddington , London , England ) is the drummer of the progressive rock band Marillion .
Musical career
Mosley joined the band in 1984 after a long search for a replacement for Mick Pointer , who was fired in 1983. Mosley had previously with the Genesis - guitarist Steve Hackett played on two solo albums and tours. The start of his musical career was the band Darryl Way's Wolf in 1973/74 and the records Canis lupus (May 1973) , Saturation point (October 1973), Night music (June 1974). 1975 played on the record Birds of the group Trace . In 1981 he played on the records The peacock party and Liveby guitarist Gordon Giltrap . In 1983 he played for the group Renaissance on the record Time-line and in the Steve Hackett Band on the record Highly strung . The collaboration with Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett continued in 1984 with the record Till we have faces .
At Marillion he has been represented on all of the plants since 1984.
