Rovná (German Rowna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 11 kilometers northwest of Pelhřimov and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Rovná is located on the right side above the Trnávka valley at the end of a steep side valley. The Stráž (520 m) rises to the east and the Čertova skála (609 m) to the south.
Neighboring towns are Arneštovice in the north, Křelovice in the north-east, Červená Řečice in the east, Zádolí and Milotičky in the south-east, Mašovice in the south, Bořetice and Březina in the south-west, Vítovice and Hořepník in the west and Radějov in the north-west.
history
Rovná was first mentioned in a document in 1352. The place was originally part of the Řečice rule belonging to the Archdiocese of Prague and then came into the possession of various noble families. Rovná became part of the Loutkov domain and later Hořepník .
After the abolition of patrimonial Rovná formed from 1850 a municipality to which the district Vítovice 2. díl belonged. In 1961 the place was incorporated into Hořepník and has been independent again since January 1, 1992.
