Proseč pod Křemešníkem (German Prosetsch unterm Kremeschnik ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southeast of Pelhřimov and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Proseč pod Křemešníkem is located northwest of the 765 m high Křemešník on the hill Nivka (622 m). The valley of Kladinský potok runs to the east at the foot of Křemešník.
Neighboring towns are Plevnice in the north, Horní Strměchy, Střítež pod Křemešníkem , Volšička and Kamenicko in the northeast, Korce and Sázava in the southeast, Zálesí and Lešov in the south, Nemojov in the southwest, Putimov in the west and Řemenov in the northwest.
history
Proseč was first mentioned in a document in 1379.
In 1976 the place lost its independence and was connected to Putimov and with this in 1980 to Pelhřimov . A former mining area is located south of the village in the "Na horách" corridor.
