Velký Rybník (German Groß Rybnik ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers southwest of Humpolec and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .
geography
Velký Rybník is located in the Kopaninský potok valley in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . State road 34 / E 551 runs north of the village between Pelhřimov and Humpolec . To the east lies the Jankovský potok valley , where river pearl mussels still live.
Neighboring towns are Kletečná in the north, Záhoří in the northeast, Mladé Bříště in the east, Pazderny and Zachotín in the southeast, Žirov and Rybníček in the south, Útěchovičky in the southwest, Onšovice in the west and Milotice and Šimonice in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village Rybnik Major , which was built on an old pond site, dates back to 1379. Velký Rybník belonged to the Řečice manor at that time and after their division in 1454 came to the Pelhřimov manor. After reunification with the Řečice rule, the village became part of it again in 1571.
After the replacement of the patrimonial was 1850 Velký Rybník to the 1928 nor the district Kletečná 2.díl ( Kletetschna second portion ) and the monolayer Rousínov and Jonášův Mlyn belonged. In 1976, Dehtáře was incorporated including Milotice, Vadčice and Onšovice. On January 1, 1980 Velký Rybník was attached to Pelhřimov. The municipality of Velký Rybnik has existed again since 1990.
In 1939, 1966 and 1988 floods of the Kopaninský potok led to flooding in the village. After heavy rain on May 23, 2005, Velký Rybník was flooded again.
