history
The first written mention of the village Střítež, which belonged to the episcopal rule Řečice , took place in 1379. Grünwald was created in 1393 by Austrian settlers. After Řečice was conquered by the Hussites in 1422, Střítež became part of the Božejov manor . The first written evidence about Bor comes from the year 1549. In the berní rula from 1654 15 properties are shown for Střítež, including nine farmers, five Chalupners and one Kötter. The owner of the village at that time was Jan Christoph Leskovský from Leskovec. He died in 1680 in the Želiv monastery . Since his six marriages had two daughters but no son, the family died out with him and the Božejov estate with all its accessories fell to the Woracziczky von Pabienitz family .
After the abolition of patrimonial Stříteř u Boru formed a community in the district administration Pelhřimov . In 1899 the local school was built. In 1923 the municipality name was changed to Střítež u Božejova . Bor and Krumvald came in 1962 as districts to Střítež u Božejova. 1976 Střítež after Božejov incorporated. Since 1990 Střítež has again formed its own municipality.
