Hojovice (German Hojowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers southwest of Černovice and belongs to the Okres Pelhřimov .

geography

Hojovice is located in the southwest of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The village is on the right side of the Hojovický creek above its confluence with the Černovický creek.

To the south rises the Podustupky (611 m), in the southwest the Strážka (565 m), west of the Strážiště (604 m) and Choustník (689 m) and in the northwest the Kopaniny (614 m).

Neighboring towns are Pazderna, Vlčeves and Svatá Anna in the north, Panské Mlýny and Vlkosovice in the north-east, Chválkov and Rutov in the east, Krapadlí, Hájek, Mirotín and Bořetín in the south-east, Annovice, Drunče and Březina in the south, Psárov and Tříklasov in the south-west Choustník in the west and Mlýny and Zárybničí in the northwest.

history

The first written mention of Hojovice took place in 1318. Ignaz Freiherr von Stillfried belonged to the owners , who acquired the goods Hojovice and Chválkov in 1796 together with the Červená Lhota estate .

After the abolition of patrimonial Hojovice formed from 1850 a municipality in the district administration Pelhřimov . From 1905 the municipality belonged to the Kamenice district administration . After the Okres Kamenice nad Lipou was abolished, Hojovice was assigned to the Okres Pelhřimov at the beginning of 1961 . In 1980 Hojovice was incorporated into Černovice . The community has existed again since 1992.

  • baroque church of St. Wenceslas, the single-nave building was built as a chapel in 1713 and was expanded in 1871.
