history

The first written mention of Salaczowa Lhota comes from 1407. The village was subsequently referred to as Lhota pod Strazisstiem and from 1643 also Lhota Pudilowa . The current name has been used since 1654.

The two districts of Malá Černá and Velká Černá, whose existence can be traced back to 1316, are older.

The village of Moravčice used to be in the corridors of Salačova Lhota. It was mentioned for the last time in 1529 and described as desolate in 1544. Lhota was one of the Bohemian free villages. Its residents enjoyed the freedom of robots and fishing and hunting rights lay on the land. Until 1551 the village belonged to the Pacov rule , then Albrecht von Černá and Dušník bought the place from Oldřich Španovský von Lisov on Lhota.

Over the years, the place grew and in addition to the courtyards, other farms were built on manorial land. As a result, Salačova Lhota was divided into three parts until the end of patrimonial rule in 1848. The largest part was free and only subject to the king, small parts belonged to the lords of Lukavec and Pacov . In 1819 construction began on a schoolhouse, which was completed two years later.

Salačova Lhota has had a coat of arms since 2006, stylized with a green triangle of the common spruce typical of Stražiště and on which a golden three-leaf clover is applied.
