history
The village was first mentioned in documents in 1410 in the land register of the Strahov monastery under the name Gutenbrunn . After the Hussite Wars , various noble families owned the village, and the place name Outěchovice prevailed during this period . During the Thirty Years' War, Outěchovice belonged to the property confiscated after the Battle of White Mountain and the Strahov Monastery took the opportunity to get back its old goods.
After the abolition of patrimonial Outěchovice / Groß Autiechowitz formed a community in the district administration Pelhřimov . In 1923 the name of the municipality was changed to Útěchovice . Between 1948 and 1960 Útěchovice was assigned to the Okres Pacov. At the beginning of 1961, the village was incorporated into Velká Chyška and came back to Okres Pelhřimov . At the same time, the place was given the official name affix pod Stražištěm to distinguish it from the village Útěchovice in the same district . Since 1990 Útěchovice pod Stražištěm has again formed its own municipality.
