Peter Rosenberger

Peter Rosenberger (born April 2, 1972 in Mannheim ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is Lord Mayor of Horb am Neckar .

After graduating from high school in Mannheim in 1991, Rosenberger graduated from today's University of Public Administration in Kehl with a degree in administrative management (FH). He then worked for the Mannheim city administration from 1997 to 2008, initially in the council clerk, later as head of three district town halls.

In the mayoral election in Schriesheim in 2005 , he ran with the support of the CDU, Free Voters and FDP, but lost 101 votes. In 2008 he applied for the office of mayor with responsibility for law, order, technical operations and civil engineering in Horb am Neckar and was elected by the local council with a majority of one vote. In 2009 he was elected to the district council of the Freudenstadt district on the CDU list. After the then Lord Mayor of Horb Michael Theurer was elected to the European Parliament in 2009, Rosenberger was the only candidate to be elected as his successor with 98.45 percent in the new election that became necessary. In the summer of 2015 he ran for the office of Lord Mayor of his hometown, but was defeated by the incumbent, nominated by the SPD and the Greens , Peter Kurz with 33.8% of the votes in the first and 44.9% in the second ballot. In 2017 Rosenberger was re-elected as Lord Mayor of Horb.
