Tami Erin (* 8. July 1974 in Wheaton , Illinois as Tamara Erin Klicman ) is an American actress and model . She became known in 1988 in the role of Pippi Longstocking in the film Pippi Longstocking's Latest Pranks .

life and career

Erin started modeling at the age of eight. In 1988 she got the title role in the Columbia Pictures production of Pippi Longstocking's latest pranks , for which she was selected from 8,000 applicants in an international casting. The film was marketed worldwide and, in addition to the USA and Sweden, also appeared in Norway , Finland , Germany , Poland , Hungary , Romania , Greece , Italy , France , Spain , Portugal , Argentina , Brazil and Japan . The lead role in the film, directed by Ken Annakin , earned her international fame and several advertising deals at the age of fourteen.

Due to her popularity, she became UNICEF Children's Ambassador and spoke in this capacity at the United Nations on World Children's Day in 1989 . In the same year she was nominated as " worst newcomer " for her portrayal of Pippi Longstocking for the Golden Raspberry 1989 .

In 2013, she starred in a pornographic film known as The Longstocking Sextape .
