Tan Oral

Tan Oral (born May 20, 1937 in Merzifon , Amasya Province ) is a Turkish cartoonist .

He has been in this field for over 50 years and is one of Turkey's classic caricaturists. Since 1976 he has also worked regularly for the Turkish daily Cumhuriyet , but was fired in 2008. He is represented at the exhibition "The Sultan's Nose" in the Museum of World Cultures in Frankfurt am Main in 2008.

Tan Oral also created the illustrations for the novel Memetçik Memet (Landser Mehmet) by Mehmet Başaran .
