Tando Allahyar ( Urdu : ٹنڈو اللہ یار, Sindhi : ٽنڊو الهيار) is a city in the Pakistani province of Sindh . It is the capital of the Tando Allahyar District.
According to the 2017 census, the city had a population of 156,562. Statistics show that 30% of the population is made up of immigrants who came from India when Pakistan came into being. The remaining 70% are indigenous Sindhi / Baluchi residents.
The main language in Tando Allahyar is Sindhi, but languages such as Malwari and other Dravidian languages are also spoken in the city.
Mangoes are the most popular products in this area. There is a wide range of mango varieties that are cultivated here. Also, sugarcane , wheat , onions and cotton are grown in Tando Allahyar.
