Tanja Bestmann

Tanja Bestmann (* 15. December 1970 in Hamburg ) is a German politician of the SPD and former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

education and profession

Tanja Bestmann graduated from Hamburg's Bismarck-Gymnasium in 1990 with the Abitur. This was followed by a degree in architecture and urban planning, which she graduated with a diploma in 1995. In 1998 she passed the state examination. She then took up a job as a civil servant in the higher technical service of the authority for construction and transport.

Political party

From 1990 to 1993 she was a member of the state executive committee of the Jusos and joined the SPD in 1991. In 1996 she was elected to the state executive committee of the SPD Hamburg , to which she belonged until 2000. Tanja Bestmann belongs to the SPD district of Hamburg-Billstedt .

Tanja Bestmann was a member of the city council from 1997 to 2008. During this time she was a member of the Health, Culture and Legal Committee. She was also the specialist spokesperson for her group in the field of health policy.
