Tarō Kimura

Tarō Kimura ( Japanese 木村 太郎 , Kimura Tarō ; born July 20, 1965 in Fujisaki , South Tsugaru District , Aomori ; † July 25, 2017 in Kōtō ( Tokyo ), Tokyo ) was a Japanese politician , most recently in the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP), a member of the House of Representatives in the National Assembly for the 4th constituency of Aomori. A native of Fujisaki, Aomori and a graduate of Tōyō University , was elected to the Aomori Prefectural Parliament in 1991 for the first of two terms. In 1996 he switched to national politics when he ran for the New Progress Party in his home constituency Aomori 4 in the 1996 House election and prevailed against the LDP candidate Kyōichi Tsushima . He then defended the constituency for the LDP in six elections in a row with absolute majorities.

He died of cancer on July 25, 2017, in a Tokyo hospital, at the age of 52.
