Tarawera Falls Track
The hiking trail to Tarawera Falls is only accessible via gravel roads from Kawerau in the northeast and via Rotorua in the west, although the route from Kawerau via Waterfall Road is by far the cheaper connection. At the end of the road there is a parking lot, from which the waterfalls can be reached via a 700 m long hiking trail in a good 20 minutes.
