Tarek Majzoub

Tarek Majzoub (also Tarek al-Majzoub , Arabic طارق المجذوب, DMG Ṭāriq al-Maǧḏūb ; * around 1960) is a Lebanese lawyer and university professor . From January to August 2020 he was Minister of Education in the Diab cabinet .

Majzoub graduated from McGill University . In his professional career he was a judge at the State Shura Council and a professor of law at La Sagesse University in Beirut. On January 21, 2020, Majzoub was appointed Minister of Education in Hassan Diab's cabinet as a representative of the Sunni community. Like the newly appointed Telecommunications Minister Talal Hawat , Majzoub is said to be close to the pro-Syrian MP Faisal Karami.

After Hassan Diab resigned as Prime Minister on August 10, 2020, the minister remained in office until a new cabinet was formed.
